Trauma services

Medcenter One is designated by the state of North Dakota and verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level II Trauma center. The hospital and medical staff are committed to excellence in trauma care.

The Medcenter One Trauma Service is dedicated to providing optimal care for the most critically injured patients. The trauma team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide emergency services, surgery and critical care. The team is supported by surgical specialists from a variety of disciplines including trauma/general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, anesthesiology, radiology, critical care and more.

Traumatic injury, usually caused by motor vehicle crashes, falls and violence, is the number one killer and disabler of people between the ages of one and 44 in the United States. Medcenter One is dedicated to improving the outcomes of traumatically injured patients by ensuring the following resources:
